The much-anticipated Ecommerce Expo held in Berlin on February 22, 2024, was a melting pot of innovation, trends, and exciting new opportunities. As expected, the buzzword of the event was undeniably artificial intelligence (AI) – with more than the half of the companies presenting their AI-driven products or service offerings with built-in AI features, each promising groundbreaking outcomes. However, our focus was not solely on AI.
The expo proved to be a dynamic platform, teeming with diverse and interesting participants. It served as an excellent arena to comprehend client needs, discern emerging trends, and expand our business horizons, just as we thrive to do.
The lectures were a highlight, offering profound insights into the current state of the e-commerce industry and its evolving trends. Particularly noteworthy were presentations affirming the growing popularity of refurbished tech products, with expectations for the sphere to garner even more traction in the coming years – a positive nod to sustainability. This trend was not just validated by data but endorsed by ecommerce giants like Conrad and Allegro, both of whom we had the pleasure to engage with during the event.
In our discussions with Conrad, especially, we learned about the escalating interest in the refurbished sphere among their clients which are mainly businesses. Excitingly, this foretells an upcoming presence of our products on Conrad's esteemed platform. Beyond engaging with marketplace representatives, our exploration led us to discover additional companies whose products showcase great potential in expanding ecommerce business reach. Notably, firms like Channel Engine were among those offering intriguing solutions for more enhanced market presence and management.
While none of the companies managed to convince us that their AI products could launch our business into stellar space, our participation in the expo was nothing short of fantastic. We absorbed a wealth of new knowledge, engaged in fruitful discussions, and laid the groundwork for promising partnerships.
A heartfelt thank you to the Ecommerce Expo 2024 team for orchestrating this stellar event, where countless participants undoubtedly discovered new avenues to expand and elevate their businesses. For those in the e-commerce industry who missed the chance to participate in this transformative event, we wholeheartedly recommend attending when it is organized again. The insights gained and connections made at the Ecommerce Expo are invaluable for staying at the forefront of industry trends and fostering business growth.
Special thanks to Erik from Channel Engine and Augusto from Conrad for the insightful discussions and great meetings.
